Training(Agrius, Lamia, Lycaeus)

[Lamia]

"I hate the mute humans." Lamia muttered. In the middle of her sentence, she suddenly swung out her right arm and three silver fang knives flashed out at Holly.

[Holly]

I frowned. I was about to reply to that to prove her wrong when I saw the flashes of metal shooting at me. I hit the ground as the knives flew over me. I got to my feet again, glaring at Lamia. Then I felt a sudden urge to lash out at Lamia. At the last second, I remembered what Agrius had said. Try to control it. I clenched my fists and tried to push it down.

[Lamia]

"Nice reflexes. But aren't you going to counter?" Lamia turned and shot out two more knives. Her style of fighting was long range. She had an assortment of long range weapons.

Well, the order from Agrius had been to train together. That meant Holly could fight back. But if she lost her cool, Lamia would simply morph full snake and add some poison in her attacks. Of course not the deadly kind. The paralysis kind.

[Holly]

I shook my head as I sidestepped one. I knocked the other to the side with my knife. "I'm afraid I'll lose it if I do..."

I noticed that so far, Lamia was doing ranged attacks. I wasn't very good with ranged attacks, and didn't have any long ranged weapons on me at the moment.

[Lamia]

"And do I look like I care? I want to see you fight at your full potential, and if that means losing, it, then lose it." Lamia scoffed. She noticed that she was probably not a long range fighter. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes in annoyance and sprang forward. She had one long hunting dagger, but she usually threw it. She could manage close combat too. Lamia slashed out at Holly.

[Holly]

I gritted my teeth at her words. She's just trying to get you mad...don't listen to her...

I stepped back as she slashed at me, but blocked her attack with my knife just in case. I quickly pulled back my knife in case she tried to disarm me, then swung my blade at Lamia in an arc.

[Lamia]

Lamia smiled at her slyly. So she could do some fighting. Lamia ducked her swing and slashed out at her arm as it went past her.

[Holly]

Cursing mentally, I flicked my arm back in an uncomfortable angle to catch her attack barely near the tip of my blade. I winced at that as I felt a sharp pain from doing that so suddenly, but otherwise ignored it.

I slashed out at Lamia again.

[Lamia]

Lamia was surprised. Holly was fast...for a human. Her eyes that were already bright green started to have a sharper glint. Her pupils narrowed into snake-like slivers. She blocked Holly's slash. She suddenly pulled back and switched hands. The knife now in her left. She stabbed out fast and deadly like a snake.

[Holly]

I blinked at Lamia's sudden increase in speed. Her arm was a blur as her weapon shot towards me. I barely managed to deflect it. But in the end, I knew that I would never be able to actually beat her. I mean, wasn't she like, part snake or something? I decided to just go on defense.

[Lycaeus]

"My turn~" Lycaeus suddenly caught Lamia's hand and stepped in. Lamia was getting tok serious. But he masked the situation with a bright and playful smile. "Lamia's so selfish. I wanna play around too~"

[Lamia]

Lamia blinked in surprise, her sharp eyes fading back to normal human ones. Their bright green color dulled just the slightest degree. Suddenly, she swung out with her other arm, shooting a knife at Lycaeus from an impossibly close distance. ".idiot! What are you doing?! She's not a play toy!"

[Lycaeus]

"Ack!" Lycaeus jumped back. He had no choice, it was too fast this time. He drew his sword and there was a flash of silver. The knife whirled through the air and Lycaeus let out a small sigh of relief before whining. "Lamia~ You actually nearly killed me there... But isn't she a playmate?" Lycaeus looked at Holly with teasing golden eyes. He was doing it on purpose, being annoying. It would probably make Holly angry. Which would let them see the extent of her powers and fighting capabilities.

[Holly]

I frowned and crossed my arms. "And this 'playmate' is standing right here!" Crap.

No...calm down...

I glanced at Lycaeus's grinning face. Gods, he was annoying. I still didn't understand how he could be so cheerful all the time. It was just so...annoying. That was the best way to describe it. He was always bouncing around. Acting like everything was all good. That the world is a happy place. I gritted my teeth. He was way wrong if he really thought that. And now he was possibly making fun of me? I glared at him. I'll show him...

Without thinking, and even surprising myself, I lashed at him.

[Lycaeus]

Lycaeus grinned at her reaction. He let Lamia step back before he blocked her hard swing with his sword. He was kind of surprised by her strength. But he matched that with speed. He turned and skidded to a stop by her side, re sheathing his sword.
"See, Lamia? She wants to play." He had no intention of stopping the teasing. It would let Agrius see that she couldn't stand some things. As for his go lucky attitude, it was a mask for his true feelings. Which he never showed.
