Listening to Ginger, she thought there would be only be 5 or so in the cabin. She didn't know that many gods had children with mortals. Then she listened to Asteriesla. She seemed to really know her greek things. She had guessed that the unclaimed kids could be a little anxious sometimes. Then she realized that she had guessed a lot of things today and got them correct! Could she be Athena's child? Then she saw a face, a beautiful face, she was blonde and extremely lovely.
"Did anyone else see that?" Selena asked. She had seen the face but wasn't aware if the others had. Could that have been her mother?

At Selena's question, Asteriesla frowned and shook her head. "No, what was I meat to see?" She asked, wondering if Selena had something like a vision. After all, she had guessed correctly that Ginger was the daughter of Poseidon. Maybe this girl was an Oracle. "do you think you're an Oracle? Like the one at Delphi, who could see the future. Maybe its something along a simialr line!" She said, excitedly. "What did yu see? What did you see?" This was all getting rather exciting and Asteriesla was almost jumping on the spot with the suspense.

"I saw a beautiful girl, she was blonde and almost looked exactly like me!" Selena said to the Asteriesla. She knew this must have been her mother but she didn't know who! "Umm, I think it was a goddess, and I think it was my mother." Selena said again. She wanted the figure to be her mother more than anything! She wanted to get claimed right here with her friends, at least she thinks these are her friends.

Beautiful... "Aphrodite?" Asteriesla asked. "But nymphs are also described as being beautiful. Most gods are as well. Aphrodite is commonly potrayed as blonde. But I'm sure nymphs can also be like that. And I haven't actually met any gods so I probably can't say..." Asteriesla said, running through a mental list of names in her head as she tried to figure out any goddesses that matched the description of beautiful. Which just happened to be about all of them.

"I think it might be a sign!" Selena said. "I think Aphrodite is my mother!" Selena said. That girl in the sky was a goddess. *shakes Asteriesla*"I'm sure that wasn't a nymph. I wasn't expecting me to be her daughter. I'm not terribly beautiful." Selena said again. It was true, she wasn't really that beautiful and she didn't care what she looked like most of the times. She like to fight and jump in puddles, not find the exact shade of makeup! Hopefully, the other girls and the cabin won't like pink to much. Pink. Is. Disgusting. (seriously, no offense to anyone though)

Asteriesla's dark eyes widened as Selena said it might be a sign. Then, hearing the next bit, Asteriesla looked thoughtful. "You are quite pretty." She said, looking at the blonde haired girl, although she wouldn't admit it, Asteriesla did find Ginger prettier. The uncommon mix of red hair and green eyes was really nice. But she did understand how in many people's views, Selena woulc be considered to be beautiful. "During the Trojan war, Aphrodite saved her son, who was fighting on the Trojan's side." She commented. It was one of those random facts that the young girl had picked up from listening to her parents read her the Iliad.

"Thanks, but I know Ginger is much prettier. Her red hair compliments her green eyes." Selena said. As she kept listening, her mind wandered. She thought about her father and how he said her mother was such a beautiful person. Then, her father died and she got a foster dad. He wasn't the best guy in the world. But she was only 5 then and she was 16 now.
