Hanging out at the edge of the forest and further into it was a favorite past time of Asteriesla. It was evening the the trees through shadows across the land. It was within these shadows that the young girl played, trying to be invisible in the shadows, seeing how far she could go before she had to step into the grey night of the evening. It was probably late to be playing, but she had lost track of the time and had just continued playing. It was the best thing to do. Enjoy oneself. She wasn't really aware of what the time was, or even if the campers were eating or doing the singing around the campfire.
It wasn't until she heard a scuttling sound, close by, did she look up. There was a scorpion. She didn't like that. it was then that she remembered being told that at times there were monsters in the forest. Only for the games and practice, but they could still bring them in. Staying perfectly still, Asteriesla hoped it hadn't noticed her. But it did seem to be going towards her. Rather fast. "Um..." Asteriesla said nervously, fear filling her. She didn't have a weapon. None of the weapons seemed to suit her. Despite being a lovely bronze colour, they all felt wrong. But it did seem like she might need a weapon.
Turning, she ran, sprinting as fast as she could, heading towards the weapon shed. Despite her panic, she tried to keep the shadows, hoping it would hide her. They had hidden her in games of hide and seek, she hoped it would work now. The scuttling seemed to become confused, as if it wasn't totally sure where to go. Asteriesla was beginning to feel exhausted, finally she reached the weapon shed. Dashing in, she looked around for a weapon. There was a dark black sword, she hadn't seen it before, but they had just shown her bronze weapons. Grabbing the sword by the hilt, she rushed out. For once, a weapon felt fine in her hand. It actually felt like it was made for her.
Dashing towards the forest, she saw the scorpion, this time in better light. She gulped. Then she was pretty sure she screamed. Not anything that made sense. Help probably would have been a better thing. But at that moment she was just very scared. Leaping sideways into the shadows, just in time to avoid being stung, she silently hoped that the shadows would hide her. She felt a small tugging in her gut that then seemed to grow, and she was getting rather tired. But luckily the scorpion turned and didn't seem to know where she actually was. But it started heading into camp. Uh-oh. Asteriesla thought. She didn't want anyone hurt.
Leaping forwards, she sliced the tail, and it fell to the ground. Her stomach squirmed at that, but it did get the scorpion's attention. As it grabbed her in its pincers, the young girl got the opinion that it didn't like her. It had managed to jump up and grab her neck with the pincers. Grabbing it with her free hand, she managed to get the scorpion off her neck and fling it to the ground before it could latch onto her hand. Then, she lifted the sword and stabbed it in the middle. The monster seemed to be absorbed into the sword, or something like that. But Asteriesla just felt relief. She had survived. She wasn't dead and the others hadn't been attacked. She hoped that there weren't any more.
It was then that she also realised that she was rather tired. The tugging feeling inside her slowly stopping, but her limbs didn't feel like they could support her. Falling down to her knees, using the sword to support her, Asteriesla breathed deeply, trying to feel less exhausted. Where people coming? Or was it more of those scorpions? She thought she heard the noise of feet, or had the noise of feet been there all along? Rest is good... She thought, closing her eyes, her long black hair cloaking her, laying loose and windblown from her running. Asteriesla doubted she would be getting up soon. She also thought that she felt something trickling down her neck. Maybe the scorpion had just it neck. It still hurt.

Harper watched. She was perched in a tree. Who is this girl? Why is she here? Harper thought. Her grey eyes where more dull. She climbed through the tree watching her. She almost snapped a twig, but didn't. She climbed to the next tree trying to get a better view.
She could fight, but didn't know if she needed help. She kept herself well hidden. All the birds must have been scared away. Then the monster was gone. Harper's eyes looked at her. She is strong. Harper thought. Thoughts where going through her mind.
She still stayed and watched. She was hoping to see another monster and see if she could defeat it. Harper didn't like people, mainly because she was short tempered. Her head phones hung around her neck. She then climbed to another tree. I wonder if she is hurt. Harper thought.
She was looking at the girl and was looking for blood. She knew the scopain might have had a chance to cut her. She liked to watch her battle the monster, just from seeing that fight. It gave her excitment. Then she almost fell. "Whoa." Harper whispered. She was trying to be very quiet.
A twig snapped as she almost fell. Oh-no what if she heard me. Did she? The thought sereged through her mind. She was now a little scared. What if she thinks I am a monster? I am already some what of a monster. Harper thought. She made herself low so hoping she wouldn't get spotted.

"I'M GOING TO G-" Ginger ran through the bushes, butterfly net in hand. Upon seeing that someone else was in the clearing, she quickly shoved her hands behind her back. Well then. That was just a tad embarrassing. You see, the redhead had been chasing a rather interesting looking butterfly, but it had disappeared into that particular crop of trees. So, logically Ginger had ran after it, making quite a ruckus and of course yelling at the top of her lungs. But that was just something Ginger did.
"Oh.. Um. Hi." She stuttered, her cheeks flushing a light pink. She then looked first at Asteriesla then up at a branch that snapped up in the tree. Could that be her butterfly?
No... She thought Butterflies don't go snap. But who knows! Maybe its a really heavy butterfly! If anyone couldn't have told that Ginger was a tad bit hyper and tired, then they obviously could now. The Daughter of Poseidon was only known to go on wild rampages with butterfly nets when she'd either been staying up way to late, or when she was having trouble solving a particularly bad problem or craving. It was really up to the observer to decide which one it was.
"One sec." She murmured to Asteriesla, whipping out her net and running at the tree while wildly swinging about the butterfly net. It took a few swipes, but she eventually got it high enough to try and get whatever was on that branch. Later, Ginger would probably realize that it wasn't such a smart idea, with all the interesting creatures that lurked in the forest, but at that moment in time, she didn't really care. And of course, her net did make contact with something, but she'd just have to wait and see what she'd caught...
(OOC~ Ya. So. Ginger's in a bit of a psychopathic mood today. I went around the hallways of the school singing at the top of my lungs, waving around paper, giving people hugs and generally being an annoying type of entertainment. Why? Because I felt giddy this morning. So. This post is the result.... SAVOR IT.)

Asteriesla was exhausted, there had been so much work, and that tugging in her gut seemed to have pulled out most of her strength. All over, she felt like she had been working, exercising for a whole day. Her body trembled as she leaned against the hilt of the sword, her eyes closed as she shook with exhuastion, trying to get more air into her lungs. Scorpians were definitely not her favirote animals. It had been one of those that had attacked her in England before she ended up in America. It had terrified her to face it again.
It was then she heard a twig snap, and Asteriesla's eyes opened. Was it another monster about to attack her? Wearily, she lifted her head to look at the source of the noise. She frowned. Was she seeing things correctly? It appeared that someone or something was in the trees. Blinking, she wondered if it was going to attack her or whether it was friendly. All she wanted was to sleep. "Uh...?" Asteriesla said, wondering whether it might help her. Maybe it was a camper playing hide and seak. That was a good game.
It was at that point that Ginger entered and Asteriesla's tired brain could not make much sense of the older girl's actions, however she did call out a friendly greeting. "Hello. What are you looking for?" Asteriesla asked, but he words were slurred and she shook her head, her black hair rippiling out into the air. "Hi." This was the only thing that she had said that actually worked as a fully understandable scentence and she was rather proud of that at the moment. And making the scorpian go away. That was also something.
Letting Ginger go back to her work, Asteriesla collapsed onto the ground, carefully placing the sword to her side. After seeing what it did to that monster, she didn't want someone to tread on it. That would probably be very bad for them. But she got the feeling that the sword wouldn't mind. But atleast she had found a weapon that seemed perfect. "There was a scorpian." She muttered, looking at the sword, then to where the scorpian had been. "Not good."

||Don't be afraid of your nightmares, they're your creations after all||
After Hades had returned to the Underworld, he had discovered that there were children to claim. A lot of children to claim. It had surprised him, and he wondered since when had he...? Whatever.
Hades had to do what he least favored of all his activities. He had to talk to one of his children. Claiming was one thing. Just making sure they were okay and knew who they were was another matter. He couldn't just flash a symbol of a black helm above his child's head. No, he had more empathy than to leave them hanging just by that.
The god had conversed with a some of his children before, and now it was Atseriesla's turn. He wasn't going to ignore her because he slightly feared her rejection. No, he was a god that faced his tasks, and he found it appropriate to greet her. He was getting accustomed to the routine gradually. All was calm now. There was nothing to worry about.
Hades stood in his chamber, an oval plate a of polished obsidian stood before him, he used it to send images much like an iris message, but differently. He didn't have to pay the minor goddess. With a wave of his hand, the front of the glossy rock wavered, slowly displaying the image of his daughter. His eyes turned from a calm black to a softer gray, the color when he was more...nervous, you could say. What expression would she show? Shock? Anger? Defiance?
Hades turned his gaze across the clearing, noticing that there were others around. He was slightly irritated that there were others. But it was better for others to see. With a wave of his hand a blurry black blob appeared above the ten year old's head. It began to smoke, and black flames flickered to life, emanating no heat, and swallowing light and life itself. The fire formed itself into a black helm. His symbol of power, his Helm of Darkness.

Asteriesla was tired, but as she looked at Ginger, she saw something shimmering and her dark gaze flickered to that as she sat on the ground, trying to regain her energy. She blinked, there was a face, a person. Was this normal. Was it one of those Iris messages that she had heard of? But it didn't seem to be like the description, no rainbows. Asteriesla's eyes shone with interest now, despite her exhaustion. Something to figure out, to attempt to link to the stories that she had heard. This should be fun, it was stuff that she did enjoy.
The stranger waved his hand, and Asteriesla looked around before noticing that there was a black fire turning into the Helm of Darkness, Asteriesla's eyes widened, this was the symbol of Hades, The Unseen One, as the Greeks had refered to him in the old times. After very little thought, Asteriesla decided that it was best to be very polite seeing as this was a god, and one of te Big Three. Lifting herself to her feet, although she was tired, leaving her new sword on the ground, she gave a bow to Hades.
Asteriesla was unsure how to address a god. She'd never had to do it before, but she realised that the symbol above her head probably meant she had just been claimed by Hades. Despite that, Asteriesla was very calm about it. "Its a pleasure to meet you, Unseen One." Asteriesla said, nervously. She knew that back in the Ancient Greek times they never referred to Hades by his name, instead using 'Unseen One' and seeing as they had done that, she thought it was probably the polite and done thing. Hades was also reffered to as the Rich One, but that was more commonly associated with the Roman version, Pluto. Was asking 'how are youg?' a good idea to say to a god? Asteriesla wasn't sure. But it did seem polite. "How are you?" She asked, meakly. It was at this moment that her legs decided that she was just too tired to continue standing up and she flopped to the ground. "Sorry." She appologised. That wasn't probably very polite, collapsing in front of a god.

Unseen One? He hadn't been called that in...quite frankly, ages. It both surprised him and amused him, shifting his olive gray eyes to a hard glistening black. His children weren't really taken to respect, and he could see that Asteriesla was an exception among them all. Hades couldn't help but smile, though it was thin and seemingly cold. She was nervous, or that's what he decided to take from her expression. The girl was clearly tired from her earlier run in with that scorpion. Honestly, there was a reason that Chiron advised the campers to bring a partner with you into the cluster of trees.
"I've gotten Father and Dad before, but never Unseen One. Not from any of my children." The Lord of the Underworld replied in amusement and cold humor. "But I appreciate your respect, Asteriesla Walker."
Hades turned his gaze on Ginger, recognizing her. He had been missing Adonis from his radar, wherever he was. Yes, he kept track of his children, though he forgot about them from time to time like any god would. A year was a second to them since they were immortal. He resisted asking her of his son's whereabouts, and turned back to the daughter of Hades. "Considered yourself claimed, demigod. Thank you all for your time."
With the hiss, the image began to smoke with black flames, and it went out like a light. The slight smell of death lingered in the air afterwards. Hades turned from his image, wondering if he had been to curt and short with his meeting, but dismissed the thought. There were other things he had to do.
