The trees of the forest three long shadows across the floor. The faint crunch of leaves filled the air, and it suddenly faded. Ground travel was far too inefficient.flying through the trees was faster. And flying she was.
In the face of the death chasing shadows, she wasn't in the least bit scared. In fact, her giggles rang throughout the trees. "Can't catch Mina! Can't catch Mina!" The words were merry, as if she were playing a game of tag.
"You know, you're annoying, why don't you be quiet while you run? This is your mess- your idea." This voice was harder, more sarcastic.
"Sorry," The first voice pouted, "Mina got bored playing with Tasmanian. And Mina doesn't think they will follow us this far."
The second voice just scoffed, though it was true that they had already crossed into camp. Now, you'd think that there were two people, but in truth, there was only one. One tiny little girl looking around the age of six flying from branch to branch. Their pursuing shadows had already abandoned the chase. They were alone. No- not they, just she. Mina landed on the tree just as the forest broke into the clearing. The clearing of cabins.
"Look, Janice! It's camp! It's camp!" Mina jumped down onto the grass, her short orange hair brighter than the sun.
"I see." Her other self replied grudgingly inside of her. No one else could hear, but Mina could hear her perfectly.
The little girl just skipped in, with her lavender eyes sparkling in curiosity. "Who does Janice think I should find first? Mina wants to see Big sister first, and Lamia. Then maybe Big brother Agrius, Lycaeus."
"The Poseidon girl and the daemons? I guess so..." Mina ignored the voice in her head.
