Hades, the God of the Underworld, sat on his high black throne of bones. His cold eyes shone through his helmet. They pulsed and changed colors. A blood red the color of raw flesh, a misty gray that seemed faded in unknown dark places full of death, and a dark black so hard it was as if his eyes were made of obsidian or Stygian iron. They settled on black as he lifted his head off of his curled hard fist.
How boring this place was. At least Persephone was here at this time. She was just visiting her gardens, growing some stuff. Her annoying mother and his sister, Demeter, was visiting, so he let them alone. Maybe some new demigods would visit him today. Of course, no one came into the Underworld unless they were...dead. But he liked them dead. They weren't as annoying.

(Wow, your an excellent role-player and you obviously know the books well Up in Olympus, Athena used one of the golden fountains to create a message, and muttering her prayer to Iris the goddess, she asked to be shown Hades. The iris message flickered into the Underworlds gods thro e room, casting eerie shadows over the bleak walls. "Hades?" She whispered, looking furtively over her shoulder as she spoke, the gods and goddesses had been for ideen to speak to the underworld god as Zeus did not trust him, "I need your help!" The shimmerig image said. Athena looked as she always did, her brown hair falling to her shoulders in soft waves, she was wearing her armor, which ment either two things, one that the goddess was mad and plotting against someone, or she felt worried of something. Perhaps both. Her green eyes flashed as she tried to make out a throne or even Hades himself in the darkness of the Underworld, she scowled as she waited for him to answer, the iris message would only last so long and she couldn't risk contacting him again so soon after thefirst try!

(Thanks, I've been rping for a long time.XD.)
Hades looked up as the air shimmer brightly in front of him. He blinked in annoyance. Who could be bothering him with a message? He held out his hand, a black flame leapt to life in the palm of his hand. It danced and sparked, allowing a small amount of light to illuminate the room. He put down his helm to make sure the light from the iris message wouldn't blind him from the sudden difference in amount of it.
"What is it?" No one ever needed his help. It was most unusual to have a god or goddess from their mighty and glorious Olympus to talk make a message to talk to him at all. His voice was grudging, though accepting. He hadn't spoken to anyone in Olympus in years. Other than his wife and Demeter, of course. So it piqued his interest that Athena would talk to him now. It seemed urgent, and he had nothing to do. So he would make do and listen.

She sighed in frustration, "Finally! Zeus has closed Mount Olympus off from the Underworld" She muttered, still looking furtively over her shoulder, "He thinks your trying to steal his throne, we've been getting Iris messages from someone who sounds exactly like you! It's not you right?" Her voice hardened, but her eyes showed fear unlike any other she had felt.
Perhaps she shouldn't have contacted the God of the Underworld, no, it was better her knew what was going on ... she grimaced, "I need your help convincing him to reopen Olympus! We can't stand around all day doing nothing when we know there's a threat from an unknown sender!" She raged
It was obvious Athena was mad, she was even shimmering a hit which meant she was close to revealing her true form, one that would kill mortals and demigods but do nothing to fellow gods and goddesses, "Will you help?" She said through gritted teeth

Hades blinked slowly at the news. Surprised, and a little bit annoyed. He closed his eyes and sighed, "Why would it be me? I wouldn't even bother talking to you people. It's troublesome to get caught up in your affairs."
He stood up off his throne and looked at his niece. He wondered what kind of messages these people were sending. Seriously, ruining his image like that. "Well, since I'm being framed, I should probably do something...How am I supposed to help? Shouldn't you do something about it? It's not like my stubborn mass of a brother would listen to me." But then again, the stubborn mass was Athena's father. Whatever. As if Demeter and Persephone's daily squabbles weren't enough of an annoyance. He was going to check Tartarus and the monster cages later for activity.

She scowled, "Don't you care at all whats going on down here? You said yourself you were getting to many dead people a day! Just think how many more you'd get if this anonymous message sender started a war!" She snapped angrily, "You don't even care whats going on!"
She looked angry now, her eyes were poisonous slits as she continued on with her rant, "And Zeus will listen if we have prof, we just have to find something to prove that its not you! But what?" She threw her hands in the air in irritation, she hated not knowing things, especially things that could start another war so soon after the last! She was suppose to be the goddess of wisdom not ignorance!

demeter stood behind the door, peeking in now and then. She heard talking and descided to to listen and look. She stood at the door and listened to the conversation. She heard about the strange messages and gasped. She ran out to Persephone's garden. She loved the garden. She sat down and thought. "who would pretend to be Hades?". But what did she care..she shook her head and laughed at herself. She was always so curious. She smirked, and wondered "what would hades do if he found out She was snooping" she shook her head again, Who cares. Sh sat on the ground and watched the garden. (how do you get pics on here?)

(Go to Modify profile. Go to signature. Put (Image URL) [/img]. Then click modify at the bottom.) Hades sighed and took off his helm, his eyes adjusting to the light. He rubbed his forehead in annoyance. He knew very well that arguing with Athena would do no good. He would lose bickering against the goddess of wisdom. "Alright, alright. Well what am I supposed to do?" Hades eyes started changing again. A clear sign of him no longer feeling nonchalant. He was clearly agitated by the situation. He did complain about the number of spirits coming in, but a war sounded just as interesting. Hades would be able to watch from the Underworld, entertained. The spirits would flood, yes, but he could always appoint new officials. He had already made two new ghosts judges to speed up the process. Hades heard a sound and turned around to see the door open a small crack and a flash of green. Demeter. Ugh. More trouble. He would deal with her later.

She sighed in exasperation, "Well, you could go up to Olympus and try and reason with Zeus!" She said, pursing her lips, "Or you could try and find out where its coming from the messages, it looked dark and eerie, a cold feeling about the place, is there anywhere like that?" She asked hopefully, if they found out who was behind the messages they were already halfway there!
(Sorry for the short post DX)

Hades waved his hand immediantly at the first suggestion. "Never! He wouldn't listen me. He would probably just corner me and throw those blinding lightning bolts of his without waiting for an explanation." It was true, it had happened before. He had been to Olympus a few times. He was easily ignored most of the time. The more special times were much more.....unfriendly. He sighed.
"I'll go check Tartarus, then the deep monster cages. The question is how they were able to send iris messages in the first place." Hades thought about it. There was no light except for fire. So the solution was simple. Look for drachmas. But who would be able to copy his voice?

Athena~
She nodded her head, the brown curls bouncing in a smooth motion, "Okay, so you think something deep down in Tartarus has begun to stir, and they sent the messages?" She whistled, crossing her arms at the same time, "Thats a pretty tall order, it will take much to convince Zeus, but I agree, going there and getting zapped with his master bolt will not help our cause"
She thought of all the different things that could be stirring deep down in Tartarus, all different sorts of monsters, the Titans, Ouranos. She shivered at the thought, Kronos rising had been bad enough and hard enough to beat, but Ouranos was a whole different matter! "Hades, it-it couldn't be Ouranos could it? Kronos was rebuilt and he was chopped up with the scythe just as Ouranos, could he be being rebuilt?" She questioned, a worried look in her eyes as she sighed in frustration, "I should know all this! I'm the goddess of wisdom and strategy!" She huffed angrily into her hands

"Not possible." Hades said quickly. He stood up and walked to the image. "He would need tons of energy and help. Tartarus has been secure..."
Had Tartarus been secure? He hadn't checked on it in a month. That's when the iris messages had about started judging by Athena's words. His monsters should have been keeping watch over it. But he hadnt heard any news and he had forgotten. What if they didn answer for a reason? His face drained. If it could go any paler than it already was, it did. He looked at Athena's image, wiping the expression off his as best as he could. Hades didn't need Athena worrying about this. The problem couldn't come from him. Zeus would put all the blame on him. He cursed his own carelessness.
"I am busy. You have bothered me. I will check Tartarus. But it is impossible." Hades told Athena.

She crossed her arms, "Why do you look as though you just saw a ghost?" She asked suspiciously, her green eyes flashing a steely grey and back, what was he hiding? Was it somethingto do with the iris messages? Surely not, he would tell her if it was!
"Couldn't you get Allecto to try and round up some good dead people to follow anybody suspicious around?" She asked, of all the things she knew, she was ignorant towards the subject of the underworld and how it worked

(I sent you a pm...on your Athena account.)
"I'm always seeing ghosts!" Hades snapped back at Athena. "Alecto is doing her job very well! You don't need to be bothered by it any longer. Now be gone."
He waved his hand into the iris message before Athena could protest or say anything more. Hades let out a small growl as the image dispersed. He turned and slammed his fist into the arm of his throne. Whoever was framing him would pay. Dearly. They would suffer the wrath of the god of the Underworld.
"Alecto!" He called out.
