Supposedly, the girl was in her cabin, sleeping, but well, no one really made sure of that, or at least Holly didn’t notice they did. If they did, they were doing a bad job. She occasionally liked to sneak out of her cabin at night, careful not to disturb any other campers, and escape to the forest. At first, she used to slip away just to think, but as time went on, it became an enjoyable habit, where she could get away from everything. After the first week of sneaking out, when she had finally returned to her cabin for the night, she had found she couldn’t sleep, too used to the fresh cold night air and the glimmering stars like specks of glitter spilled against a dark cloth. She would just sleep in a tree, since they weren’t too uncomfortable if you could find a relaxing position. Holly usually retired in the crook of a large tree with a smooth trunk and branches, and visited so often she liked to think of it as ‘her tree’. Don’t ask her what type of tree it was—how would she know? She didn’t come to camp for mathematics or whatever the crap it was, and barely had any education in that category anyways, but enough not to be cheated out of drachmas. Her dark hair pulled back loosely into a ponytail, Holly sat in the familiar hollow of her tree, legs dangling off the edge, black eyes staring at an area on the trunk of a rough looking tree, its bark cracked and moldy. Her gaze was glazed and shiny, as if she didn’t really see the tree. She appreciated the silence of the night, though once in a while broken by soft chirps of crickets and twigs cracking under the feet of scurrying squirrels or the clumsy paws of a monster. It was around midnight, the sky gloomy and dark, and only by the pale white glow by the moon could Holly see her fingers. They cast a shadow on the ground, which caused her thoughts to drift to the coming war. It hadn’t been officially announced, but Holly felt like she could just feel it coming. Of course, when some of the gods, including her father, had been missing, she suspected something, some even greater, older power, though she didn’t know what, a disadvantage of ignoring most of the camp’s reports. And, well…
Who would save the gods? Did the camp honestly believe they could actually do it? Immortals had been captured by the enemy. Weren’t the gods and goddesses of Olympus the great ruling power they expected to take care of everything? If Zeus couldn’t stop them, then what chance did the camp have? Unless Zeus purposely let his children and siblings get captured, thinking it would be a silent agreement with the enemy for some more time before they strike again? Holly doubted the king of Olympus, the oh-so-great leader, would think like that, but the thought still made her angry. Her way of thinking about things made her angry, and she couldn’t do anything about it. It made her furious that she couldn’t control her own fate, that her destiny was already set before she was born, when her mother…joined with Hades and the fact that she was a demigod ruined her chance of ever leading a normal life. Holly tried to stay away from the rest of the camp as much as the camp as she could, wanting to resist the inevitable, that she really was one of them.
Everything made no sense. Maybe she should have bothered to actually listen to what the questers had to say. Holly was like a free spirit, gliding around the camp, roaming wherever she pleased, skipping lessons. Her reason: Why did it all matter anyways? It wasn’t going to change the fact that Olympus would eventually be overthrown and taken over. She was almost sure the gods wouldn’t be able to stop whatever was hunting them down. Maybe she should just leave camp for good and side with the enemy?
It scared her that when she had suggested it to herself, she didn’t recoil in disgust. In fact, she felt like she could accept it, accept the camp’s fate, and her own. Why did that have that effect on her? Did she truly think it was the best choice? All she wanted was to be on the winning team…
Suddenly, the silence seemed too loud, roaring in her ears, and she desperately willed for something—anything—to disrupt it.

||Don't be afraid of your nightmares, they're your creations after all||
All that chaotic stuff beforehand was pretty much over. For no reason, Ouranos had disappeared moments before the questers were dispatched. He had reawakened after being apparently drugged into a coma for quite a while. That odd drug...however the Titan of the Sky had obtainined it, it seemed that no one would ever know. But Hades didn't mind all this. The mystery was left unsolved, but it wasn't like he was eager to run off and find the cause of it all.
It only mattered to the god that he was conscious and well, Ouranos had failed his futile attempt at world domination, and nothing else seemed to be brewing. The whereabouts of the Titan he no longer minded. It was of no importance.
It was true that after he had returned to his duties from the coma induced poison, he had been a bit slow and uncomfortable with movement. He had managed to settle down as well as quell the uproar in the Underworld that had been going on in his absence. Slowly, he went back to his job, restarting the systems and recapturing the monsters and fixing everything that his grandfather had managed to corrupt. Now he had regained his leisurely time. He planned to use it in his own way, while Persephone was turning a blind eye.
Hades had to do what he least favored of all his activities. He had to talk to one of his children. Claiming was one thing. Just making sure they were okay and knew who they were was another matter. He couldn't just flash a symbol of a black helm above his child's head. No, he had more empathy than to leave them hanging just by that.
The god had conversed with Adonis once, and now it was Holly's turn. He wasn't going to ignore her because he slightly feared her rejection. No, he was a god that faced his tasks, and he found it appropriate to greet her. After all, the going missing and being sent into a coma fiasco had ought to get any demigod riled up. He would explain the situation and put it down. All was calm now. There was nothing to worry about.
Hades stood in his chamber, an oval plate a of polished obsidian stood before him, he used it to send images much like an iris message, but differently. He didn't have to pay the minor goddess. With a wave of his hand, the front of the glossy rock wavered, slowly displaying the image of his daughter. In front of Holly, the picture of Hades standing there materialized. His eyes turned from a calm black to a softer gray, the color when he was more...nervous, you could say.

How coincidental. She couldn’t believe her luck. Just when she’d hoped for something, her wish came true. Her dark eyes narrowed and snapped to focus, and she instinctively pulled her legs up, bringing her knees to her chest, one hand straying onto the handle of her knife, which was safely held by the narrow sheath clinging on her waist. Now, when she had bluntly hoped for anything, she hadn't really meant anything...well, it certainly was unexpected. She couldn’t help but suspect a godly power under this, for it seemed quite strange to her that just when she had thought about it… Well, she supposed this would be the ideal scenario. Hmmph. Holly just hoped it wouldn’t bore her. But if it were really a god…
It didn’t seem like it would after all. She leaned back further into the tree as the…thing materialized, like the pixels of an image all coming together, and a strange man appeared. The edges of the thing were blurry, blended in with the rest of the world. He was definitely a god. Holly could practically see the power radiating from him coming off in waves, even through the weird screen thing. It didn’t seem normal IMing to her. A flutter of anxiety and fear circled her head, until anger overwhelmed it and she tried to regain her calm face again. Guess it runs in the family. Whoever it was, she would not seem soft. Why would she be afraid, anyway? He couldn’t do anything to her here…could he? After all, she still didn’t know if the screen thing had any special abilities other than a normal IM’s.
“Who are you?” Holly found her voice, glad she sounded confident, or so she thought, and firm. She didn’t need to ask though, for she could obviously guess from his features, but it felt…respectful, in some weird way in her mind, instead of just trying to stare him down until he spoke.
Wait, when did she even start caring about ‘respect’ and ‘authority’ and all that? It sort of frustrated her she was making exceptions to her own rules for a god, even though he was her father. She had never bothered to ‘respect’ her teachers before, but she didn’t want to risk the possibility of…visiting him forever.
“Why are you here?” she wondered, with genuine interest. For the past 16 years, he had never bothered to talk to her, so why start now? And if he could talk to her, she doubted whatever had been keeping him hostage had let him, so... he was free, along with the other gods? Of course, she didn't mention it, not wanting him to think she'd been ignorant, which, she had, but still.

Hades studied his daughter, waiting for some kind of comment to surface. Anything would do. He usually wasn't the one to start the conversation, even if he was the one to begin the encounter by popping up randomly. The god obviously didn't intend to break his tradition.
Holly's first comment served to only surprise him, and he contemplated how to answer, and whether or not he should have been offended. From her expression, he picked out recognition.
"I think we both know who I am, Holly." The Ruler of the Underworld replied without blinking. His face remained blank and calm, with no visible interest or concern. He had learned of his daughter's...problems. He just really didn't k ow how to help her cope with them. His solution, like most, had been pushing them as aide and ignoring them-allowing them to continuously grow while his attention was turned. He knew now that his past ways were no longer affective solutions.
Hades had come to make up for it. He had come to talk to her. He wanted to reply his past thoughts out loud, but he was hesitant. He was a bad father, there was no denying it, but he had more empathy that that of Zeus, at least, no matter how surprising that seemed.
"Ouranos has disappeared...and let us all go, if that's what you mean." Hades finally just went with the blatant way to reply. His murky gray eyes slowly reverting to am obsidian black. It took a lot to smother his pride and admit he had been captured, but it was something that was of the truth. There was nothing to lie about. Poseidon had gotten himself into the same mess as well anyway. "We still don't know his whereabouts, or why he decided to halt everything he was doing."

“Hmph,” she grunted, not expecting that sort of reply. She didn’t think she had been aiming to irritate him, but now that she thought about it, would have found it funny, minus the risk of being zapped by black energy or something. She took her hand off her weapon and let her arm dangle at her side again. Hades didn’t seem to have any intent of hurting anyone, or he couldn’t from there. She doubted her knife would have had an effect on him anyways, and she could only wish of matching his speed and power, if that were the case.
Holly noticed his expression, on a minor note, admiring how he could look so…dead. No pun intended. Then again, he had centuries to perfect the look. If only she could seem so emotionless and uncaring like him, that might be a huge advantage around camp. She wasn’t in the least bit annoyed that Hades didn’t seem interested in her at all. In fact, she felt glad that he didn’t seem to care. It was bad enough to have the attention of others and for them to talk about you, but who knows what gods talk about?
Holly had meant why he decided to come visit her, but she didn’t say anything. It slightly amused her to see her father’s face change, if only barely to betray his emotion, for she knew how most gods were very proud and mighty. At least Hades tried to be honest and confess that he had been taken.
But also, Ouranos? The “sky”? Trying to wrestle back the throne from the Olympians, Holly imagined. He would definitely have a reason for revenge, since the myths stated he had been chopped up into pieces…or was that Kronos? Whatever, Holly didn’t have an interest for these not-so-fake stories anyways, and was much far more interested in trying to stay alive. But the problem was indeed mysterious. Why would Ouranos stop when he had been doing so well? He had gotten Holly to believe that he would win.
At that thought, she hoped she wasn’t blushing. Now that she thought it over, it seemed stupid. Why would she ever choose some ancient guy trying to tear down Olympus over her godly family?

Hades had the hint of a smile playing on his thin lips now. Not quite there yet, but almost. It was enough since he was slightly amused by how much Holly's personality was similar to his. He knew his own flaws very well. Unlike other gods, he was aware of his temper. He just...never really had time to change it. Now, he could see that his daughter had inherited it. She had been having trouble, one of his advisors had told him.
Seeing that Holly had picked up his sarcasm and avoidance of her subject, he actually smiled this time, though it was lost in the dark lighting of the room. He Stared at her, noticing that the silence was slightly unnerving. She seemed to be slightly surprised by it at least.
"So, you will tell Chiron of the outcome, right?" Hades began slowly, trying to keep it going. He wondered why he had been the one stuck in situations.

If she had not been so tense and unfamiliar, Holly could have sighed with relief when Hades finally spoke. Periods of silence were very awkward with someone who could be silent better than you, and with her father being a god, she didn’t know what he knew and could be thinking about when he stared at her. Was that why gods were known to be intimidating?
It wasn’t like she could actually say no. She didn’t really have much of a choice. Those types of questions were just to keep her talking. Due to her untrusting instincts, she suspected Hades was just trying to see if she’d let something slip, then immediately dismissed the thought. Why would he even do that?
“Of course,” Holly replied, still trying to keep her responses as short as possible, not saying more than necessary. She tried not to shrink away, not daring for her eyes to leave him. Even now, she still tried to appear casual in front of him, but just being in her father’s presence unsettled her.

On truth, Hades was just as uncomfortable as Holly. He was just good at hiding his skittishness. He blinked a few times, taking in his daughter's full face before sighing, "I am a busy god, Holly. I didn't meant neglect you or any of my children up until one. I've made sure they all will get a chance to get to camp, so you'll have siblings to talk to." The god wasn't even sure if this was a good idea because, quite frankly, Holly was easily annoyed. This much he had taken note of from watching her. He wasn't positive that company was going to be the solution. He hoped by the end of the day, they would be binding instead of going at each other's necks. "I'll be going now, but it was nice talking to you." You kidding? It was the most awkward conversation ever! Talking to his children just didn't seem to be his thing...no matter. He swept his hand, and the image disappeared. (Lazy, and without a template )

She had never thought Hades would actually admit to any wrongdoings, and just then realized how much she appreciated it. He reminded her vaguely of herself, and Holly supposed it was a good-enough apology. Well, she took it as an apology, at least. If she were to be in his position, she would have responded similar. Holly would never right off say 'sorry,' for that would mean giving in and admitting the other person was right. And she could never have that, now, could she?
She wasn't exactly overjoyed at the idea of siblings, and she could tell Hades knew that too. If they were anything like her or her father, Holly couldn't guarantee she would give them the love and companionship they deserved, being the hypocrite she was. Occupied by the thought of new siblings, Holly didn't think to say 'bye' until Hades had already gone. "Bye," she muttered, for what it's worth, she added mentally.

"H-Hello?" Scott walked out from the shadows. He had heard voices, and he had wondered who there was out in these woods. It seemed to Scott that he should probably not be interrupting these two, but he was curious...And he probably shouldn't be out alone in these woods, either. He had heard howling while trying to sleep in the Hades Cabin...Scott sneered at himself. 'I'm not afraid of anything in these woods...'
Scott walked out and spotted the two figures: His half-sister, Holly, and...Who was that? Wait a minute! Scott looked at the tall form closely, then inspected himself. 'We look alike!' He thought as he stared at the figure. Was that his father, Hades?

Now that Hades was gone and the night had once regained its normally comforting presence, Holly realized she was slightly pissed at him too. Why do I need more siblings? Aren't the kids you have already good enough? It surprised herself, the first time she had realized she longed for her father's approval, to be able to prove that she was good enough to be noticed by a god. She was somewhat hurt by his choices, but gods ‘couldn’t help themselves,’ right? It would be so nice to be a god. You could get away with pretty much anything. Of course, Holly didn’t wish for the responsibilities and pressure, but you know what she meant.
Just as Holly was about to settle down for the night, a hesitant voice called out from the darkness, “H-Hello?” What the-? Panic was her initial reaction, then relaxed again, sitting up in her tree and glaring at the boy. Intruder! She wondered how much of the conversation he had heard, and for a second, wondered if she should be worried or not. What could he do about it anyways? Irritation shone in her dark gaze. “And just who are you?” she demanded, her natural hostile tone returning.
Holly slid down from the tree to get a better look at him, and her fingers flew to her knife. She knew that the boy meant no harm, but keeping a hand on a weapon was a natural survival instinct now drilled into the daughter of Hades’ mind. Now, close up, she noticed that the boy had strangely similar features to her father and herself. Ah. Her thin lips twisted into a smirk. “So you’re one of the siblings Hades mentioned.”
For a second, Holly considered being more somewhat friendly to him, for they were now family, forever bonded. Yay. Then she pushed the thought away. If he wanted to like her, he’d have to like her true self. She knew she wasn’t one very easy to feel affection towards, with her cold attitude, but who cared? They would all get used to it eventually.

"So I must be." Scott smirked. This girl was just as cold as him, wanting to stay away from everyone else, and just be alone...a lot. He had watched Hades disapear, and he felt anger rise inside him. "So Hades came to visit you, huh?" He growled and stalked around. Scott looked at the girl's knife. "A dagger, eh? Not my best weapon, I go by whip." And with that, he took out the piece of string, whipped it to the ground, and instantly, it grew into a long black whip with fire on it. "A gift from dad."
Scott put the whip away and looked at her. "I'm Scott. You are?" But really, he didn't care, but it would be important to know who his siblings were. Scott shuffled his feet in impaticience. He was bored out of his skull, had no idea who this girl was, and didn't really care. "Come on! I don't have all night!" Scott snapped. From the hesitant guy he was a few moments ago became the fierce bloodhound that had always been his true personality.

"So what if he did?" Holly retorted, before realizing...could he possibly be jealous? There was nothing to be jealous about. It had been one of the most awkward moments in her life, but just the possibility that he might brought smile to her face.
"Mine's made of Stygian Iron. All the way from the Underworld," she replied dismissively, not bothering to take her knife out for demonstrations. Really, she didn't want to spend the whole night standing here bragging about their weapons, but she couldn't help but respond to Scott's declaration, one of the faults of her OCD. Was he looking for a fight? She also knew she was easily provoked, but knew if she concentrated hard enough, she could hold it in for a while before it starts to leak out. Training with the three daemons had proved as much. But it was night now, and Holly was cranky and somewhat tired from being in her father's presence.
Holly could tell by how Scott kept fidgeting that he didn't care either way, so she was going to reply as vaguely as she could, when he yelled, "Come on, I don't have all night!"
Someone should teach him how it goes around camp. You just didn't make Holly angry, unless it's for a training session, or you're just plain stupid. Of course, she didn't care if the other campers didn't want to get near him because of his parentage, like they didn't want to approach her, but really, she was a child of Hades. Make the connection? His words infuriated her. "Oh, it sounds like I'm wasting your time? I didn't ask for you to come here anyways! So just go back into your cabin and go to sleep!" There. That did it. Holly felt better now, having let some of her anger out into her words.

Scott didn't budge. His cold gaze swept over the forest. "Your name?" He growled. This time, he realized that if he made her angry again, it would probably be a deathmatch, and Hades wouldn't care if either of their souls went to the Underworld. The Lord of the Dead would just look at him, then dismiss him with a touch of distaste. Scott's eyes burned with a dangerous fire when Holly snapped back at him, but he managed to swallow back his anger. "I've been hearing of another Hades camper. So I get to share the Cabin with you..." Yippee. She'd murder him in his sleep. Whatever.
Scott looked at her. He wanted to say something to make her hurry, but he kept him mouth shut and made the fire in his eyes die way down. Maybe...Though they couldn't be friends, they could be allies...Yeah. Fat chance. She would gladly drop-kick him to Jupiter if she wanted to at any moment. Scott shoved his hands in his pockets and waited for her answer...

Lamia tried her absolute best to remain silent, but she couldn't stand it anymore. "Shut up, the two of you! I can hear you from-" She stopped herself, leaning from the branch of the tree. Her sharp green eyes rested on the pair. "Well, look here, a Hades pair. Having mutual sibling hate?" Her voice was dripping with sarcasm and uninterested.
Lamia honestly hated her cabin. She was used to sleeping outside. It didn't matter where, and she had found this tree to nestle in with her book. Now, she was being interrupted by a quiet conversation. She had ignored it until the voices had reached louder levels. Her sharp green eyes studied the two,and she shrugged. "Sorry, I interrupted." She muttered before pulling back and sitting on the branch, watching then still.
