Artemis led everyone into the forest where the prey was most. "Hurry up everyone, follow me." Artemis said as she sped through the forest with her favorite hunters. "We are splitting into 2 groups. Khione, take Alish with you. Alexis come with me. You guys go towards the river and we will go to the darker part of the forest. We meet back here in a hour. Let's go." She said to all the hunters. Alexis would be honored to go with her. Khione and Alish will go with her next time.

Alexis watched as her fellow hunters split up leaving her with Artemis. she had always admired Artemis but she thought back to the one secret she hid from everyone she had ever known. she couldn't even form thoughts in her mind to comprehend this one secret so she kept it to herself. she watched how Artemis moved and followed her lead taking careful steps as to not let out any noise.

Artemis stopped suddenly at a huge oak tree. "This is one of the places where there are a lot of animals. They usually like to live in oak trees." Artemis whispered as she dropped down to a crouch, her cloak touching the lush green forest grass. She took her bow out as a sparrow was on a branch of the tree. She aimed and shot in less than 10 seconds. Clunk! Artemis raced over to catch the sparrow before it fell. "That is how it is done." Artemis said to the hunter.

Alexis nodded smiling a little at the goddess. being a daughter of Apollo she also had the ability to shoot a bow. crouching to the ground like Artemis she saw a squirrel and she aimed at it carefully taking a little longer but still getting the squirrel coping Artemis' moves to catch it as it dropped to the forest floor.

"Good job Alexis. Now try on something in the air, perhaps that little blackbird. It is harder since it is moving and because it is small. Watch first." Artemis said aiming at another blackbird in flight and quickly shot it. She went to bring the bird back before another animal did.

Alexis nodded aiming her arrow at the little blackbird watching with intense focus at the flap of its wings as it flew. waiting for the right moment she pulled back the bows string and the arrow went flying hitting the bird and she raced over and caught it as it fell.

"Good, you are a great hunter, after all you are my brother's. " Artemis said as Alexis was walking away. "Let's go somewhere else. The other animals know we are here." Artemis said as she gracefully got up and started jogging towards a place where the sun never shone.
"Alexis, be very careful. There are many snakes." Artemis said to the young hunter as Artemis was gaining speed and running rather quickly through the snake area. She stopped at a place that was as dark as night. "You don't need to crouch or hide, animals can't see you." Artemis said as she heard a hoot. She raised her arrow and then put it down. It was Athena's owl, probably hungry. She waved and continued. She saw a rather small rabbit, it was sick so she let it be. She saw another healthy rabbit, very plump and easy prey. She shot her arrow right above the rabbit's eye, killing it instantly. "Hunt in anyway, but don't kill more than 3 animals here." Artemis said to Alexis.
